The real question is?
Why?
Why is it so hard to be unapologetically you?
Why do i care what other people think about me? I shouldnt.
But do i subconsciously?
Yes. I think i do.
Being unapologetically you WILL be easy.
But its not right now. It takes work. You have to find yourself. You have to see what you stand for, What do you believe in.
Somewhere along the way- your intellect told you things. Things to fit in! Things for survival. Told you the way the world was. These were your convictions for the world, survival, growth, safety.
Now, you are all grown up and near 40, 1/2 way through your working days and you realize, Its nothing like i thought. When did the lens change? When did i start choosing love/life/being over doing, fitting in and climbing ladders?
Thats choosing yourself, spirituality.
Unfortunately, old habits die hard. So much time was invested believing in DOing, surviving. Now, learning to be, makes you question yourself. The goal is to know yourself better than anyone else knows you and to own it. And if you dont like what you see in the mirror, change it. Be the you, you want to show up for! Be the you who loves unconditionally, who shows grace and understanding, who does not judge. Live above the line. To do this takes work.
Its a journey to get to this point, but one day, we will look back and say “it paid off” The hard work will create miracles for us and others. The universe is here to support us. Be you and let it!
